B. ABOUT YOUR DOG PORTRAIT
As commission agreements are
received, they are placed on my commission calendar. Based on how many
commissions are ahead of you, there may be a waiting period before I can start
your commission. I will notify you of that time table and keep you updated.
Once your commission is started, it typically takes me 4-6 weeks to complete the
painting, which includes two progress photos for your comment. This 4-6 week
window does not include drying or shipping time. The paints will take 7-10 days
to dry, but sometimes longer depending on paint layer thickness and weather
conditions outside (high moisture, rainy weather, slows my paints drying time).

C. What I need
from you
Please
read this Commission Agreement, sign and date it, and return it with the
following items:
1. Provide
a 25% (of sales price) earnest deposit.
This deposit is non-refundable.
2. Provide
a minimum of two photographs of your dog and in good lighting; the better the
photograph, the better the portrait.
Original photos color copy better than they re-photograph. All original photos will be returned with the
portrait at the time of shipping. Digital photographs can be emailed to me.

3. Backgrounds
can be a color field or a naturalistic setting; see my recent work. I will choose the color(s) that I feel best
complement your painting. You can let me
know if you have a preference for, or a dislike of, a particular color. Please be specific. For example, in lieu of
red tell me if you like maroon or bright red, or reference one of my paintings
that you’ve seen. Please note, final color choice is up to the artist's interpretation.

By
signing this Agreement, we agree to the following:
1. The
Buyer understands that the portrait being commissioned will be Adrianna's
interpretation of their dog. The
portrait is created to be a stylized painting; not meant to
be truly realistic, but fun and lively. (That is why you are
commissioning a painting and not a photograph. J)
2. Adrianna
will email a digital photograph of the completed portrait to the Buyer at two
phases in the painting development. If
the Buyer is not satisfied with the outcome, very minor changes can be made. However, the Buyer understands that only changes
within reason, and ones that Adrianna feels she is able to successfully
accommodate, will be made. Also, the
Buyer understands, due to the nature of computer monitors, colors may look
slightly different in person.
3. If
the Buyer is not satisfied with attempts to modify the portrait, they are not
obligated to purchase the portrait.
However, the Buyer understands that their 25% deposit is
non-refundable. If the Buyer chooses not
to purchase the portrait, than Adrianna has ownership of the portrait and has
the right to sell it.
4. After
the Buyer’s approval, the final 75% of the portrait price plus shipping is
due. Shipping and insurance costs will
be arranged prior to commitment, and the painting will be shipped upon payment.
5. Adrianna
accepts payments of check, money order, or PayPal. Credit card payments are accepted through PayPal. Due to the
pace of commission work, checks and money orders work great and save me PayPal fees. J
6. The
Buyer understands that Adrianna reserves all copyright and reproduction rights
to the portrait.
